"I wanted to get a heat pump and was looking for a local MCS certified plumber so I could take advantage of the government scheme and I was also curious about whether we could get under-floor heating too.

EPG Domestic seemed to fit the bill, Geoff came round for an initial consultation, he was very professional and explained all our options very clearly. He got the initial quote over to us very quickly for the heat pump and spent a lot of time looking into our best option for the under-floor heating system as we were a bit worried about the floor being raised to fit it, shouldn't have worried at all!

He took all our concerns into place and made various sensible recommendations of what would lead to a more efficient system like going for tiles over wood floors with the underfloor heating. Once we signed to get the work done it all proceeded quite quickly, the tradesmen Geoff brought in were very nice and polite and worked extremely hard and as tidy as possible.

They even worked quite a few weekends to make the project go smoother for everyone. There were a few bumps along the way, no fault of EPG, all down to the terrible flooring that had been laid down previously but Geoff and the team worked their way through them all and kept us well informed of any issues. I'm very happy with the result, the under-floor heating is great, and the heat pump is working beautifully.

Geoff is lovely and since the project finished in the summer, we didn't get round to trying out the heating till a few months later and he was emailing us before we'd even turned it on wanting to know if we were happy and that he would be available if we did need any help."

"Recognising the big issue of Climate Change, Ashtead Parish churches have an aspiration to move towards Net-Zero. The gas boiler at one of our staff houses needed replacement and we wanted to see if we could install an Air Source Heat Pump to cut our CO2 emissions.

The time window for doing this before winter set-in was tight, but Geoff at EPG-Domestic, having offered us a design and competitive quotation that met our needs, was able to schedule and complete the work in the tight timeframe. He accommodated our desire to run the system as efficiently as possible with some limited design changes.

He helped us through the grant application process, and we were able to immediately get the increased Heat Pump grant when it was announced last Autumn.

The work was completed within the planned week, with a new hot water tank in the loft, some new larger radiators downstairs, and the Heat Pump at the rear of the house. It looks neat, has worked well, and provides steady background heat to the house, and hot water as needed.

The Staff member who lives there has said “Geoff was very friendly and helpful”. Barrie Mould from the Church’s Fabric Committee, who was responsible for the contract, believes that the installation process went well thanks to EPG-Domestic’s skill and experience and Geoff’s willingness to meet our needs.

The installation was one of those recently audited by the Government’s contractor assessing the Grant Scheme, and passed with flying colours."
