This property had a combi boiler fitted a few years back by EPG Domestic and was working well.
The client had solar panels and battery storage fitted a year ago so it made perfect sense to swap out the gas boiler to a new heat pump.
We de-commissioned the gas boiler and removed it, then we capped off the gas supply at the meter as there was nothing else gas in the property.
We installed the new heat pump on a wall above a flat roof at the rear of the property.
The cylinder and all ancillaries were fitted in the corner of a ground floor bedroom that would be sectioned off at a later date.
Since the installation the client has had the gas meter and supply removed so now doesn’t have to pay the standing charge on the gas.
