EPG Domestic were requested to install an air source heat pump for a property in Fetcham. The client was renovating the ground floor, so we decided to remove the existing floor screed in order to install underfloor heating. The builder prepared the floor, and I then secured the pipes to the Celotex before the floor was screeded.
Afterwards, I came back to install the underfloor heating manifold and low loss header, which are directly connected to the heat pump. Photos 1-4 depict this process.
Photos 5-8 showcase the heavily insulated pipe insulation, particularly in the garage where we needed to deal with a lower flow temperature. Photo 6 also displays the new hot water cylinder that was installed simultaneously.
Photos 9 and 10 exhibit the dedicated metered supply for the heat pump and all controls, which are necessary for MCS compliance. Lastly, photos 11 and 12 feature the heat pump once again, highlighting the double-wrapped pipes with external grade insulation.
